Sustainable development has become a popular term. Hardly a product or service exists that doesn’t claim to be sustainable in some way. This ubiquitous presence leads to an inflation of the term, resulting in a backlash reaction, spanning from indifference to aversion, towards the basic concept of sustainability.
The lecture series „Warten auf Wunder. Positions on Architecture and Sustainability“ linvites architects to present their specific approach to the topic “Sustainability and Architecture”. An invited speaker from a field outside of architecture will offer an in-depth discussion as conclusion. The lecture series are to result in a kaleidoscope of different positions, with contrasts and conformities delineating a clearer picture as to what architecture and sustainable development can contribute to our environment.
